Nanobubbles are ‘very small bubbles with a volume equivalent diameter of less than 1 μm’ and cannot be seen with the naked eye.

ISO/TC 281 recognizes that the term “nanobubbles” is commonly used to mean “ultrafine bubbles”. However, the use of ‘ultra-fine bubbles’ is strongly recommended.
